This husband and wife team perform jazz classics from the Great American
Songbook with clever interplay, natural arrangements and mutual
enjoyment.
Debby Larkin is one of Boston’s premier jazz vocalists. She swings in the
style of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Anita O’Day and has the subtle
coolness of Julie London and Peggy Lee. Debby performs internationally,
entertaining audiences regularly in Italy, Spain, St Maarten, Barbados,
Scotland to name a few. Her humor and charm ingratiates audiences
wherever she performs.
Jeff Stout, a staunch defender of mainstream jazz, is one of the finest
trumpeters in the area. He has played and recorded with the great “Buddy
Rich Band”, Gary Burton, Mel Torme’, Buddy Tate, James Williams, Tony
Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Joe Lovano, Curtis Fuller, John Scofield and
Kurt Elling, to name a few. Jeff is on the faculty of Berklee College of
Music.
The ensemble is rounded out by fellow colleagues from Berklee College of
Music Casey Scheuerell on drums, Barry Smith on bass and Wayland
resident Neil Olmstead on piano.
Free admission! Donations will be greatly appreciated.
